Pretty Practical Things
Born and raised in Yorkshire, England, Kate’s love of textiles led her to run her own dress-design company in London, before moving to the United States with her husband in 2010. There she rediscovered her childhood passion for photography, first in California and more recently in Utah.
Pretty Practical Things is inspired by the idea that useful things do not have to be boring or ugly. Besides original fine art photographs and collages, Kate designs hand-made gifts and accessories based on her images. She is inspired by her travels, and especially the landscape, nature and history of the American West.
Kate lives and works in Kamas, Utah.
